Topics

1. Percussion
   Subject of study can be all kinds of percussive instruments and instrumentation including substitutes and body percussion. The focus is the playing technique’s perspective and musical use rather than the organological classification.
2. Migration of musical instruments
   Subject of study can be all issues of musical instrument’s migration in various time periods. Emphasis should be given to qualitative changes in repertoires, musical and social functions, and modification of group identities (ethnic, social, gender, age).
3. Current research
   Individual research projects and joint undertakings of the last 3 years concerning organology, instrumental music practice, history of musical instruments a.o..
